The Great Outdoors

This morning we went to a breakfast at church and had a great time enjoying good food and good company! It was outside, so I made sure we took a blanket along because I knew it'd be too hot to tote E around. A new couple recently moved into our church, and they have a 4 month old boy - so E had his first playdate with his new friend! There was a nice breeze for a while, so it was tolerable outside. However, it soon got a bit too humid and hot and people started packing up for home. It makes me excited for the days when E is a little older and can enjoy the outdoors more, and the weather is a little more cooperative!

Laughing

E is a VERY happy baby. He smiles all the time, and is pretty mellow the rest of the time. He doesn't cry much at all. So I've been waiting for him to laugh for a while now. He'd get excited, smile really big, and then just let out a big coo or sigh. I knew an adorable laugh was right there, ready to come out. I joked with Tracy and Cam that I wouldn't go back to work until he laughed, because I couldn't miss that. I'm not sure why I picked that one thing, but it became very important to me. I've been entertaining E with the intention of getting that laugh for a few weeks!

Well, it finally happened on Thursday. I had him sitting on my knee, facing out, and the dogs were walking by and he laughed. It was even better than I thought it would be! (He was laughing, and I was sitting there with tears in my eyes because I was so happy!) The best thing was that he kept doing it for about 5 minutes, and Cam got home just in time to hear a bit! I love my little boy so much, and I know I'm going to miss some milestones because I have to go back to work, but I'm so grateful that I got my laugh. He cut it close since I go back on Monday (yuck!), but it was worth the wait.

3 months!

Time is flying by! I can't believe E is 3 months old! He's changed so much, and he just gets cuter everyday! Here he is in the hospital, and then at 3 months.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

We went to our 2nd Dash Baseball Game. It was BLAZING hot, but E was a trooper. Got to see some great fireworks after the game too!

We're hoping that the heat wave will let up so we can get out and do more things! Until then, we're just chillin' in the AC!

Where has the time gone?

Seriously, I looked at this picture and this can't be my little baby! He's growing too fast! I know I say that all the time, but LOOK! He's holding himself up! He's playing with toys now! I just want to stop time and keep enjoying my days with him!

Growing up!

E is growing so fast. I managed to catch him "talking" to us on video, just for a few seconds. I'm also adding a picture of him in flirting mode. He loves to smile at the ladies! :) We are so blessed to have such a happy baby! One more week until I go back to work. I'm dreading it, but I know he'll be in good hands.

Nothing says summer like swimming!

We had E's first swimming practice tonight. We went to Tracy's house for the big event. We had practiced beforehand in the tub so E would be used to the water. He LOVED it, but it was a little bit chilly. Still, he had a blast kicking and playing. Can't wait to get him out there some more before fall gets here!

Happy 4th of July!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I love celebrating our country, and it's fun to do it with friends while grilling good food and watching fireworks! It rained REALLY hard before the bbq, but it helped cool things off and the rest of the night was really nice! E did really well through the fireworks, he even fell asleep right before the big finale!

Shhhhh.....

I love how E sleeps. He gets those legs pulled up, usually has his arms in the air, and he just looks adorable! I'm amazed that it's comfy to sleep with his legs like that!
