It's a GIRL!

I had my ultrasound Thursday, and we found out that it's a GIRL! I'm overwhelmed, mostly because it feels like I'm starting all over. I packed up E's boy clothes over my 4-day weekend. It was hard to see those cute little clothes and blankets go into the box. Now I'm making room for dresses and bows and girly things! We had pink cupcakes to celebrate the big news. Poor E, he has no clue what's coming!!

Snow!

It finally feels like winter here! It rained for days, and then last night it turned to snow. There was some really neat and kinda creepy thunder snow!

This morning daddy had to go out to shovel the snow and scrape off the truck, so we all went out to play!  E had a blast!

Cars

I just LOVE his surprised face. He got a new hot wheels wall track from Gigi and he stood there with his surprised face for the longest time.

Horsie

I've posted about horses before. I'm happy to report that E will uphold the family tradition. He's a born natural. Last Christmas he got this Bullseye rocking horse, and suddenly he is obsessed again. He'll even wake up saying "where's Horsie?"  He found a lanyard laying around, and I watched him trying to tie it onto Horsie's head like reins. I don't even know how he knew to do that!! Papa Hays was proud!

Then, one day, he found mini-Bullseye from Aunts J&J. He put it on the floor and TRIED TO RIDE IT! We were dying laughing. Silly boy keeps us laughing all the time!

2012 flew by for us, and 2013 promises to be an exciting year for our family! We had a fun night with friends tonight...

Christmas Day

Christmas day was as busy as Christmas Eve - we had our traditional breakfast with friends, then we had family dinner. E opened his presents in shifts because he wouldn't stop playing with things to open the next present.

Christmas Eve

We always seem to pack in lots of things on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I'm so grateful to have family and adopted family to spend time together and make memories. We had a busy day today, starting with spoiling - I mean breakfast and presents - at Gigi's house. After that, we drove to Raleigh to pull a J&J. They both have to work today and tomorrow so we surprised them at the hospital with goodies. E loved the play area on their children's floor. And he loved seeing his aunts! Tonight, he opened his jammies and we're all ready for the big day tomorrow! As I looked at him laying there, I realized how blessed we are to have such a sweet, loving boy. We're also blessed to have so many people who love our family.
