Susie - 8 months

Susie is growing so fast. She's 8 months old. She's crawling, pulling up and standing, she has one tooth, and she loves to suck her thumb when she's tired and take baths. Sweet girl!!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is not a holiday we really worry about around here, but we did celebrate with pink heart shaped pancakes (with sprinkles).

I also planned some fun things for Emmett. We made a monster truck valentine box, and every few hours I'd slip in a little prize or treat or craft. It was so fun to watch him find his surprises!

Finally - a Real Snow Storm

It finally snowed. It's the most snow we've had since we moved here 8 years ago. Cam's work was even cancelled! It was SO fun just relaxing as a family. A friend wisely said that it's God's way of forcing us to drop everything and just enjoy time with family. It was something I really needed. We did go play in the snow with friends too. Emmett loved the snow and never wanted to come inside!!

Castle

Cam loves to find free stuff, and when he found these free GIANT cardboard tubes, his first thought was to build a castle for Emmett. It took many weeks, but it's done and installed in E's room. He loves his castle! The middle tube has a ladder to climb up to the second layer. The last step will be to paint some "stones" for the walls.

Park Day

You're probably thinking "Another park post?" But the funny thing about this day is that it was nice enough to go to the park in between snow storms. Crazy weather!

Susie was all smiles as always, and Emmett was in constant motion!

Jumper!

Susie absolutely loves her jumper! It makes her so happy to be bouncing!

Snow Days

This time, we got some snow that stuck around! I've had one full day of work in the last two weeks. It's been CRAZY. Emmett had a blast the last few days playing in the snow - if he had his way, he'd never come back inside!

Tuesday - School was dismissed at 8:45, after just 45 minutes! We got home and the birds were out playing in the snow on our deck.

They let Cam leave work early, and as soon as he got home it was play time!

He tried so hard to keep up with the dogs!

He also had a blast shoveling off the sidewalk and driveway with his shovel and dump truck.

Wednesday - We had to wait and go outside to play until the afternoon so Susie was asleep. Daddy made him a big hill of snow, and I tried to make a snowman but the snow was so powdery that it ended up being a mini-snowman!

The highlight of the night - the snow plow. It came by three times!!!
