Cam is working on the shed.

I'm working on school, projects, and getting ready to play for a wedding

Speakers to hook up to the piano for the wedding.

E is busy being... busy.

 

The cat has wanted to be near E lately. He almost seems to enjoy the pounding that E gives him! Here, he just had to be touching E's foot while they napped. Like I've always said, I think our cat thinks he's a dog!

 

E has discovered Ketchup. He was cramming fries into the cup, and then licking off Ketchup. Yum!

 

Have I mentioned how happy I am that he loves to read? I think I have!

He is so curious. He wants to know how everything works.

 

He cracks us up everyday. It's the highlight of my day to hear him laugh or see him smile.

Ready to PLAY! He loves it outside. Doesn't he look OLD in his little outfit?

Progress on the Shed!

Time is flying by, and we're just staying busy! The big project around here has been the shed. Cam is building a shed almost completely from materials he's gotten for free! Here's some pictures from the last few weeks.

Mama vs. Mommy

I've been trying to get E to call me "Mommy." He calls Cam "Daddy," but calls me "Mama." I don't really mind mama, but we call my Grandma "MawMaw" so I don't want him to be confused.

Well, he's definitely my child. He refuses. If I say Mom-MY, he says Ma-MA. He'll even use the same tone and mock me. We've been battling for months. It's more of a game than anything now! He knows he's being cheeky.

You'll notice in the video that he's also learned to avoid the camera. Cam had to hold him so I could get the video!

Labor Day

It was SO nice to have a day off today. It ended up being a really busy day. We went for a morning walk at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park. E loved running around. Then the rest of the day I was busy with chkres and projects. Who said Labor Day was a break from work? I got a lot done (see here), but I'm not ready to head back to work tomorrow.
