Maw Maw's House

E loves going to Maw Maw's house. He gets to go and play while I go to my doctor visits. Maw Maw says he's a perfect boy while he's there. He always starts acting up as soon as I get there.  I'm so glad she lives close enough that we can go visit often! This picture is when he was cracking us up using her magnifying glass as a phone and making himself comfy in her chair while he had a lengthy conversation.

Memorial Day

I love Memorial Day and the meaning behind it. I'm so grateful for my grandfathers and their service in WWII, and Camron's grandpa as well. I also love the other tradition of grilling on Memorial Day. We met up with friends at the park down the street (which was shockingly EMPTY) and had a great time eating, laughing, and playing.
E teaching MJ how to ring the bell on his tricycle.

E hurt his finger and had his first band-aid. He refused to use that hand after that, and kept showing off his ouchie.

Saturdays

This is how my Saturday started...

6:00am
E: Hi Mommy!
Me: Hi Emmett.
E: Memmett mow!

Yes, he somehow knew that it was chore day - aka outside with daddy day. He loves it. I was trying to work in the baby room, and when he was inside he would "help" in the other rooms. As you can see, he had fun with stuffed animals in the hall. Silly boy!

Mother's Day

I had the best day today - Camron's church meetings were cancelled and that means he was around to help us get out the door for church. My boys made a nice breakfast, I got a nap after church, and Cam made me a great dinner.

Anything I try to say about being a mom comes off sounding cheesy, so let me just say that it's been the best thing to ever happen to me and I can't wait to meet Baby Girl here in a few weeks.

Helmet

Cam and I gave E a bicycle helmet for his birthday and that's it. Yes, we're those kind of parents! He's getting more adventurous on his tricycle, and we want him to be used to wearing one when he graduates to a bigger bike. He has refused to touch it for 2 weeks. Tonight, he refuses to take it off. (It helps that it has Lightning McQueen on it, and it came with a bell too!)

He's sitting there watching Finding Nemo wearing his helmet.

"No! Hat ON!"

I love nights like this where he just does silly things that make me smile. It makes the stress of the day disappear!

Kernersville Spring Folly

Every year we have to hit up the Spring Folly for the sights (and a turkey leg). E got to go on a train ride, which made him very happy. Cam got his turkey leg, which made him happy. I couldn't eat most of the food, so I enjoyed watching my boys enjoy themselves. After the folly, we ate at Five Guys, which made ALL of us happy!
